How often should I get a massage? Monthly massage sessions are ideal for pain management. We recommend a massage close to your first massage session to help with pain relief and help muscle memory.
How do I dress for a massage session?
Come as you are. Once you get in the massage room the therapist will introduce you to the massage table and explain how to get on it. They will ask you to get completely undressed after they step out for a moment, as we prefer not to have to work around anything. You are welcome to leave undies on if you have a good reason to. It is standard massage practice to leave you covered at all times with a sheet and a large blanket, with one area at a time skillfully uncovered to be worked on, and re-covered securely when that area is finished. You will be comfortable and modest, and the therapist will check in with you to make sure you are not too cold or too hot.
Do you treat children?
I have treated children ages 5-17. Parents/Guardians can accompany their children in the room.
Is there parking?
Yes! We have our own private parking.
Is your space accessible?
No. There are 2 Steps leading up to the door.
Does massage hurt?
Your massage doesn't have to hurt to be effective. If you experience any pain or discomfort during your session, please tell me! I'm always happy to stop or modify your treatment to suit your needs.
I want to bring my friend/family/partner. May I wait inside while you treat them?
You are welcome to sit in the lobby and wait. Main Street is full of restaurants and shops where you can wait.
I'm early for my appointment. Now what?
If you are more than 10 min early, please don't knock on the door as I may be with another client. I ask that you arrive
just 5 min early for all appointments.
What kind of massage oil do you use?
I use a special blend of organic olive oil, organic grape seed oil, beeswax, and your choice of essential oil.
I'm self-conscious about {insert security here}.
I've seen it all. Take a deep breath; you're beautiful.
What Length of Appointment Should I book? For "full-body massage" (where we relax every major muscle group), we need at least 60 minutes, 90 minutes is even better, and 120 minutes is awesome! (but not recommended for massage first-timers).
